You may be wondering what "Gay" Reiki is...or perhaps you are not familiar with Reiki itself...
...please let me give you an overview:

Reiki is a method of facilitating relaxation, healing, balancing, and energizing the mind and body. It is considered "energy work."
A Reiki Session usually has the recipient of reiki energy lying on a massage table while the practitioner places their hands on or above the body in various places. A reiki session is not a massage session.
Energy centers, or chakras, are the places on and within and around the body that are manipulated or energized and/or balanced during any type of energy work.

"Gay" Reiki includes everything Reiki normally brings to the table -- but it is practiced by a gay practitioner -- for a gay client. The cultural connection of sexuality enhances energy flow in a very unique manner and helps create a sympathetic environment for energy exchange. This Gay Reiki Environment is an open, loving, and totally accepting place for honesty and exploration.

no one individual is better, more enlightened, or can provide better energy than another

Gay Reiki facilitates the connection between two individuals who share common experiences. Although some Reiki practitioners work with other like-minded individuals, it is not necessary to have this shared experience or connection in order for other forms of Reiki to be used effectively. However, in Usui Rai Ryoho, being gay is the very essence of the shared energy experience and for this reason, Usui Rai Ryoho is unique among all other forms of Reiki practice.

Generally speaking, the "Usui" System of Reiki Healing is a form of natural, hands-on energy work that was originally developed by Mikao Usui and passed on through a distinct method of teaching and practice. The Usui System of Reiki includes an oral tradition and attunement ritual, the use of specific symbols, a defined form of practice, and recognition of a particular spiritual lineage.

The roots of Reiki began in Japan with Mikao Usui. By the 1930's it was introduced to the west by Hawaya Takata in Hawaii. Since that time, there have been many variations and changes to the original teachings and practices of Mikao Usui.

Usui Rai Ryoho is a presentation of traditional Japanese forms of Reiki developed and enhanced for modern applications with unique and culturally sensitive components added to the practice.

Usui Rai Ryoho was created by Paul N. Dion, who was originally instructed in Usui Shiki Ryoho, a very common western Reiki system. Being dissatisfied with the Shiki Ryoho practice as it was presented (amidst a collection of unrelated New Age techniques and vague focus), a need for a personal, unique, and culturally appropriate form of Reiki practice became evident.

Since that time, a method of Reiki that is easily accessible and flows naturally from the practitioner has become the focus of Usui Rai Ryoho practice. Usui Rai Ryoho Reiki devotes its efforts to the original Japanese methods without involving teachings and distractions passed down from the Hawaiian lineage. Usui Rai Ryoho uses Reijo Ho, Nentatsu Ho, Joshin Kokyu Ho, Jakikiri Joka Ho, Enkaku Chiryo Ho, Byosen Reikan Ho and other traditional Japanese Reiki Techniques in its practice in addition to original practices that have been developed naturally through expression and experience.

Usui Rai Ryoho teaches only one "level" of practice and does not adhere to predetermined course outlines. Information, technique, and progression are guided by the student's capacity only. Those who wish to learn Usui Rai Ryoho are asked to commit themselves to ongoing practice as this system of Reiki is not about gaining certification but rather about personal empowerment through individual work.
Please note: an Usui Rai Ryoho attunement includes all attunements from traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki One through Usui Shiki Ryoho Master level in addition to the unique Usui Rai Ryoho "Master" Level initiation.

Usui Rai Ryoho firmly believes that all people are equal, and that no one individual is "better," "more enlightened," or "can provide better energy" than another. The source of Reiki energy does not come from an individual and therefore can not be enhanced or compromised by the ego.

Usui Rai Ryoho Reiki offers traditional Reiki services as well as Chakra Balancing, Guided Meditations, Interpersonal Relationship Enhancement through Energy Work, guided Yoga Nidra sessions, and Crystal Rejuvenation.
Any combination of these services may be incorporated into or excluded from your session.
